My poem

This is a provincial province:
Brassy brass, tinny tin,
Womanly women, dressy dresses,
Hearty hearts, skinny skin;
Winey wine, watery water,
Earthy earth, stony stone,
Fruity fruit, flowery flowers,
Fleshy flesh, bony bone;
Soupy soup, sugary sugar,
Fishy fish, beery beer;
Glassy glass, leathery leather,
Smelly smells and hairy hair.
The point of all this double Dutch?
Why do we hate ourselves so much?

opening

Smoke was coming out as the little boy was running slowly with a rugby world cup ball on his hand. He was running like he going to make a try and going to win the world cup.

 While he was running ready to make it’s try they were people waiting for him to run with the ball so they can get the ball of him and they can have that try. So he was running and he boom them down, and when he was next to the try line, he made them look at the NZ flag, and they more the try line right in furta of he. So he had the try.

 When he had tried they all ran back to make a circles and the little boy was in the circle. While they were in the circler the little boy started to foot up. When the little boy was gone up this ball was on the side of him. So he went up and tried to touch the ball. When he did he stated to come back down. When he got down he was hording the ball on his hand. When it was on his hand smoke was coming out ware he came from because they was a man coming out and it was Jonah Lamu so he ran to he and they said hi to each other.

 We went by a double-decker. Room1 got to go on the top and the 10 people from room6 and some room9 come on the top with us too.  We were saying hi to people and then they said hi back to us. So Room9 had to go out first, then room6 then we got off the bus. When we got out we had to sit on the grass then the man said we could go inside. We all went inside and hung our bags in this room. After we put our bags away we had to go in the dome room and we went and sit down. After that we watched the Secret Cardboard Rocket. Then we all went outside and we had to watch something about our topic. After that he called us in this room then he showed us about how far is the moon is from the sun. Then we went
to eat on the grass. And we went back by the bus.

Cinderella

Once upon a time, there was a young girl called Cinderella. She lived in a big house,with her horrid stepmother and her two nasty stepsister. They hated her because she was so pretty and because she was always kind and good-tempered.

The horrid stepmother and nasty stepsister made Cinderella do all the work in the house.She cleaned and Cooked from morning until bedtime.

They made her sit in the kitchen, gave her only scraps of food to eat and old clothes to wear.Her bedroom was in a cold,creepy attic.

One day, Cinderella and the two stepsister received invitations to go to a grand ball a t the palace. The stepsister screamed with excitement.We must look our best for the prince, one said.We'll need expensive new dresses  and new shoes, and new bag and gloves, said the other.

When the day came, they spent hours getting dressed and doing their hair.At last, when they were ready, Cinderella said, please may I come? NO. Of course you can't. stay in the kitchen, screamed the stepsister, and off they went, slamming the door behind them.

Cinderella sat in the kitchen and cried. then she heard someone say, what the matter, my dear?
she looked up and there was her fairy godmother.I did  want to go to the ball, said Cinderella.Do just as I tell you, said her fairy godmother,smiling,and you shall go.

Now , she said, bring me a big pumpkin from the garden, the cage with six white mice in it, the cage with a brown rat in it and six green lizards from behind the water tub. Cinderella was very puzzled but she ran to fetch everything as quickly as she could.

when she brought them in, her fairy godmother tapped each one with her magic wand. And ,as Cinderella wretched, the big pumpkin turned in to a wonderful coach, the six white mice in to six white horses, the brown
rat into a coachman, and the six lizards in to six smart footman.

Then the godmother tapped Cinderella's old clothes and shoes with her wand. In a twinkle, they turned in to a lovely dress and shining glass slippers. Go to the Ball, she said, but remember, you must leave before the clock strikes midnight. Oh thank you, thank you, cried Cinderella.

Cinderella drove off in her coach and when she reached the palace, the prince came out to meet her.Everyone
 thought she was princess and even her nasty stepsister did not recognize her. there was a grand supper with lots of delicious thing to eat and drink, and musicians played all evening.

The prince danced every dance with Cinderella and she was so happy, she forgot about the time. Suddenly she heard the clock striking midnight. I must go, she cried and ran as fast as she could out of the ballroom and down the stair, losing one of her glass slippers on the way.

As she ran out of the palace, the coach turned into pumpkin and her dress into her old clothes.

She ran all the way home in the dark and was sitting in the kitchen when her stepsister came back. They told her about the wonderful ball and the strange princess who had suddenly run away.

The next day, the prince was very unhappy. He wanted to find the prince but he did not even know her name. All he had was her slipper. I will search my kingdom for her, he said. Every girl must try on the slipper, and when i find the one whose foot fits it, she shall be my bride.

For days, he went from house to house. lots of girl tried on the slipper but it was too small for them. At last, he came to Cinderella's house. The stepsister tried to put it on. They pushed and they pulled, they cried and they screamed, but their feet were too big.

Cinderella watched them. May I try? she said No, you can't shouted the stepsister, angrily. Let her try said the prince, kindly. Of course, the slipper fitted perfect. At that moment, the fairy godmother appeared and Cinderella old clothes turned into a lovely dress.

I have found you at last, said the prince.
Please will you marry me?
Oh yes, said Cinderella, happily.
Oh on, shouted the stepsister, very angrily. soon the prince and Cinderella were married.
they lived in the palace and were happy ever after.......

I hope you like it

My all blacks story

At last we’ve won the Webb Ellis so sit back and watch the economy and the markets boom. That’s what happened in 1987 isn’t it? Well actually, no. Quite the opposite in fact. We won the Cup on June 20 1987. At the time we were in the midst of a massive share market boom when every man and his canine owned a stake in Brieley Investments, Chase Corporation or Equiticorp. Shares may have climbed a touch more post June 20 but four months later on October 21st, our share market collapsed, losing twenty five per cent in one day. It was part of a worldwide “correction” which saw our market and economy plunge for several years. Sadly, the RWC victory accounted for nought. It wasn’t until late 1991 that our economy started to revive.

But then the RWC is just a sporting event so why should we think it can spark an economic boom? The reality is offshore events are far more significant for us. We may feel better having ended the World Cup drought but other than the sales of bubbly rising for a few days it’s not going to have any obvious effect on our economy. General confidence should get a boost but it tends to be ephemeral so come next week it may well seem like a distant dream as we tackle elections, shipping disasters and post quake malaise.

So what is likely to give our economy a boost?
Well the Europeans are doing their best to sort their debts out and give world markets some hope that a Euro Zone crisis can be averted. Despite all the anxiety Europe is producing, world share markets have been rising strongly in anticipation of a solution. Yet another “crucial” meeting will be held this week. Thursday our time there will be an EU summit which is supposed to produce concrete proposals for recapitalizing European banks and provide a massive relief fund to bail out economies such as Italy and Spain, as well as the already bankrupt Greece. If they really do produce results at this summit meeting then world share markets should rise strongly. If they don’t come up with a concrete and credible solution then we’ll be back to Gloomsville and markets will crash. We have to hope they do sort things out as a negative outcome will result in a weakening of commodity prices as markets expect global economic growth to slip. New Zealand’s economy relies so much on export commodities we need these debt problems sorted.

The other important offshore stimulus for us is China. If this economic giant can keep growing at 9 percent plus then our commodity prices are likely to stay strong for some years. It is still unclear how much impact the debt problems of Europe and the US are having on China. Its GDP growth rate has slipped from 10 percent to just over 9 percent. Now 9 percent sounds pretty good to us, and if that sort of growth rate can be maintained then our commodity prices should stay relatively high. The worry is that their growth rate will taper off to 8 percent or less, a figure we would be perfectly happy with but one which signals a slow down for China. I think its more likely that China will keep ticking over strongly and that should provide support for the world economy and for little old NZ.

And if we could get the Chinese to start playing rugby on a major scale, then perhaps our winning the RWC would mean just that little bit more. Imagine if Chinese clubs started buying our players and coaches. And the meat and dairy that makes our heroes so strong and successful. Now that would spark an economic boom!
